"Go To Photos and Audio" does not see Photos system library

FCP X 10.4.7 does not "see" media from the Photos App system library at all. It does see the iPhoto and Aperture libraries. I have to drag and drop media from within the Photos app to the project/event I am editing in FCP in order to use which causes the metadata name of the file to be overwritten ["fullsizeoutputxxxxxxxxxx] which potentially can cause problems matching media with filenames in each application - so I am not an avid fan of Photos.

I use this new i9 MBP - running Mojave - cover closed, connected to an external monitor which for some reason has caused problems with third party Apps and plugins????

So, right now I manually drag media from Photos to my current project in FCP - taking note of the original filename which I then cut and paste into the thumbnail icon name field of the target media in the media browser. A lot of work.

I got FCP to see the Photos System Library by first opening the MBP cover, then launching FCP, then selecting the Media icon in the toolbar. This was also a problem with the iTunes library which was fixed by adding the filename appendage .itl to the iTunes System library?? Go figure.

My default Photos System library - as with iPhoto and Aperture - is stored locally on an external drive connected via Thunderbolt 3 through a dock to my 2019 MBP 15" i9. Again there have been issues with FCP recognizing plugins/media from 3rd party developers in both Mojave (10.14.6) and Catalina when this model MBP is deployed - cover closed - through an external monitor - which admittedly may be an unrelated issue. The machine can read Photos media for posting to any of the several websites I manage using Safari or any other browser, but not via the FCP (10.4.7) "Go To Photos and Audio" menu option or via the Media tab.

Then there is the issue with Photos overwriting metadata (filenames) when manually importing media into the app's caches. Unacceptable period.
