how to fix my grandmas Mac Book Air.

My grandma has a Mac Book Air that she was letting my cousin use and we are trying to clear all of my cousins stuff off of it, but my cousin is saying it is hers and will not give us the Apple ID or Apple ID password so we can factory reset the computer......is there any way around this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
