Modifying the AirPod Pro sound volumes on Android

So far I've only been using my AirPod Pro earbuds for the noise cancelling effect while I'm at work. I tried to use them or music while at the gym today and while my phone was at full volume for the bluetooth connected devices, the earbuds were only at maybe 15-20%?

I have seen some articles that show some options for changing sounds on Android such as this one:

This previous support article does not address it at all but explains how to set it on Mac.

Anyone had similar problems and been able to get it corrected?

When I synchronize the AirPods to a Mac Laptop running OSX 10.15 the volume correctly plays at 100% without making any adjustments what-so-ever and volume UP/DOWN modifies the earbud volume as expected.

After testing this, I connected it to my Android phone and without changing anything it was correctly playing at 100% volume. It now correctly adjusts the volume UP/DOWN corresponding between 0-100%.

Is there an Apple-Supported way of being able to verify the volume output on the AirPod Pro earbuds on Android?
