Cannot adjust volume of Airpod Pros in video calls

I cannot adjust the volume on my Airpod Pros when using some video call platforms (Zoom, WebEx, BlueJeans) on my computer. The volume on the Airpod Pros' volume adjusts fine on non-video calls (Netflix, YouTube, etc).
