I have updated my apple id to my new email address (i assume i did this on my iphone) but i cant log on to icloud to update the email with neither the new address/id or the old one .....
Can anyone advise me on how to get access to update the details without opening a new account and potentially loosing data ?

I think the issue is that I'm logged in on my Mac with the old username/email but it doesn't recognise the password.... and i cant log in with the new email and password unless I log out!!! Im worried if I log out i will loose data

The issue Im having now is that its asking me input my password so i can sign out ?? It doesn't recognise the password because I assume the account doesn't exist , Ive tried the forgot password option but it doesn't recognise the old username/email ??
If you updated your address and didn't create a new Apple ID, any data that is removed from the computer to iCloud should sync back. It may take a while.
You are welcome. Are you using the same password as the new Apple ID address?
