Apple Watch

I have Resound Hearing Aids, IPhone XR Max, and the Apple Series 5.

The Resound App for the HA's works and is compatible and made for Apple. It is installed on the watch, but I can not get the app to show up in my watch FACE. It is for a few days, then disappeared.

I have deleted and reinstalled, restarted the Watch and the phone, changed the watch faces and the Smart App (Resounds app for Iphone/Android) simply will not display.

To adjust Hearing aids I need to go to the Applications page and select the Smart App to open it up to make adjustments to sound/wind, etc.

Anyone else using Hearing Aids with the Apple Watch?

Apple Watch Series 5, watchOS 6

Not all watch faces allow all complications. Also, go to the Watch app on the iPhone, and tap on Complications. Make sure that Smart is listed there. I have the Series 5, and I just checked with the Explorer face. I was able to set Smart as a complication on that face. From there, I tapped on the complication on the watch face and it opened the Smart app on the Watch. Have you made sure that you have the latest version of the Smart app?

I use the Resound app on my iPhone and have occasionally used it on my Watch. Go back to the Watch app on your iPhone and see if it is actually installed. If not, install it. However, I've not used it lately, and upon checking, I found that it was not installed, so I just installed it. I'm not sure if that is due to my changing over to the Series 5 watch, or from one of the updates, but I don't remember removing it. I'll have to watch to see if it disappears. I can see it on the watch face.

When you say you "go to the Applications page", are you referring to the app on the iPhone?

I have done all that several times. Went back to USCELL, who then sent me to the Apple trained people at Best Buy. Been there twice, and they can't find the issue. It is installed, but will not allow me to have it on the Watch Face, which initially it did. That lasted about two days, then disappeared.

Actually, it happened after the update this last week. Maybe they will come out with a fix for it soon.

Thanks.

If you have added the Smart app to complications, it should appear just about anywhere on the faces where complications are allowed. How you determine where you wish to put a complication is dependent on where the particular watch face allows complications. If you are new to the Apple Watch, you just have to experiment where things work and don't work. I've had Apple Watches since they were first released, including the original (Series 0), then the Series 3, 4, and now the 5. That includes the cellular watches when they were first introduced. I'm still learning which face I like best, and what complications and where I want to have them on the face. Some faces I've done with photos just for times I don't want any complications and just want to know what time it is. Have fun experimenting and enjoy your watch.

Oh, and P.S., I've had my Resound hearing aid (I only need one) for about 3 years now, and I really enjoy the fact that I can make adjustments on my iPhone. The Watch app is rather new, so when that changed I really liked the fact I could Mute my aid when I wanted to ignore people!!!

I have used the Resound aids with the app for more than about 3 years, no problem. The Resound (headquartered in Denmark) has a very good website, but the issue is with the Watch, not the aids. The Resound aids are made for the IPhone, but also have an Android app (which I previously used with a Samsung 9). I have been a hearing aid user for about 9 years.

Do you use a different model of hearing aids, and do they work good with the Apple Watch? I will be getting new ones soon, and trying to find the best match to use with the IPhone/Apple Watch.
