Trying to see apple tv + content on my 4k tv

I have the apple tv 4k and recently installed it on my tv. I also subscribed to a one year apple tv+ subscription which I can see on my computer, iphone and Ipad but cannot find the app on my tv. Am I missing something? I'd like to see the content of tv+ but don't know how to get to it on my tv. Please advise.

Look for the black icon with the white Apple logo and the letters "tv".

If you instead are seeing a screen or monitor on the black icon, then you need to update your Apple TV software. Settings->System->Software Update

If you see this, you need you need to update your Apple TV.
