How to Print or NOT print email attachments?
The title says it all. I don't always want to print a big attachment, just the message - but how ??

If you open a PDF file on your desktop, your device may automatically open it up in Preview. If you open a file in Apple Mail, it's simple text; however, if you open an attached PDF text in Apple Mail, the software automatically opens the file as a PDF. You can select the range of pages in the same way.
OK here's an example. Apple Mail on MacBook AIr.
You will see from the screenshot the email with a .pdf file that I have decided to "show as Icon" option.
If I go File>Print> then I get the next screenshot. It's decided to open the .pdf and print it....
Ah, that's a little different.
In that case, double tap on the attachment (which is frequently a PDF), and you'll see a multipage document. You can print the whole document or a range of pages. The page selection is a little different from before, but it does the same thing.
I'm trying 'not' to print the pdf.
So. I have a sent email that I want to print without the .pdf attachment...
It's about 8 lines long and contains a web link.
I still cannot find out how to 'not print attachments' The clumsy way is to just print the first page and get (say) 1/2 an unwanted attachment on the paper, but that can't be right.
I'm surprised Apple are making this such a secret.
I have a document with a cover page and a multipage PDF attachment.
There wasn't any problem printing the cover page sans attachment, by choosing page 1 to 1, and I couldn't tell you why you're having this problem. Maybe someone else could address this anomaly.
In that case, print the first page - from 1 to 1.
Err... no - if the message is (say) two lines long, then the attachment is immediately below it, on the same page.
I can't find a print/don't print attachments option.
Hmm...if I double click on the attachment (pdf) it just opens it in preview. Are we both talking Apple Mail here ?
