How can I add a link to a word in numbers to a pages document?

Short answer: you can’t.


In Numbers, you can create hyperlinks to a URL, a link to compose an e-mail message using the default e-mail client, or link to a particular sheet within the document. Unlike Excel, you cannot link to local files.


A workaround would be to upload the Pages document to the internet, and then link to it by using the URL. For this, you will use HYPERLINK, or select the link and, on iOS, choose “Link” from the menu that appears. On a Mac, I’m not sure how this is done. I would speculate perhaps right click.
