garage band says audio core not available

I updated the system and the application a few times already, but it keeps sending the message that audio core is not.available. It has been like this for a few months now. a screen shot added.

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.14

Hello NicoleNek98,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. It appears there is an issues with opening GarageBand where it will display an alert, and I'll gladly do what I can to help.

These suggestions might work for you:

Restart your Mac from the Apple () menu then Restart.
