Apple Arcade games won't load on Mac

I am running Catalina on a 2014 iMac. I am signed up to Apple Arcade and it works for myself on the Apple TV, iPad and iPhone.


However, on my iMac, I am able to download the Games but they will not play under my account. However they work for my family if they log onto the same Mac using their accounts. I am an Admin on the Mac so it isn't a permissions issue.


If anyone has any suggestions, I would be very grateful.

I’m assuming it’s something to do with my account (maybe having different iCloud/App Store accounts?) so I’ve already got in touch with support about it. Looking on here and also on Reddit etc it looks like there are a fair few people also having similar issues.


Since it seemed to happen after a point update I’m sure it’ll be fixed in the same way!

I'm having exactly the same issue - I've tried logging out of my accounts (App Store/iCloud) and back in, but this hasn't helped either!


Oddly enough things were working find when Arcade was first released, but I'm assuming something has changed with a recent point update.


If anyone manages to find out how to fix this I'd really appreciate it.

this Fix worked for us a few weeks ago. However it has stopped. I have completed the same steps and It is not working.

I am finding Arcade unstable, we won’t be continuing post one month trial, as it’s frustrating it’s not easy to use on our iMac running Catalina. Was really looking forward to it, and it becoming an improved way to purchase game apps
