Incorrectly imported photos from MacBook to iPhone

Hi all,

I recently purchased a new iPhone and have tried to import all of my saved photos from my MacBook. When I do this, the photos are stored separately to the photos that I take. For example, if I take a picture now using my new iPhone, it would save in the ‘recent’ album.

Is there a way for me to combine / transfer the photos from my MacBook to the ‘recent’ album so that I can manage my photos easier?

Please see attached for reference - how do I combine the 14,418 photos from ‘iPhone’ to the ‘recent’ album? Note - I had to manually create the ‘iPhone’ album..

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 13

If you import photos from a computer to your phone they go into a separate photo area.

The easiest way to do what you want is to turn on Photos in iCloud settings on your Mac and do the same on your phone. Then all photos will sync through iCloud.
