where is side car in system preferences?

Apple's tour of Catalina says go to System Preferences then click on "Sign In." There is no "sign in" logo on my System Preferences. The visual portrayed in the tour also has Profile and also has Side car, but the System Preferences in my Catalina does not have any of these icons. Why? Where are they or how do I get them?

Hi,

Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Sidecar. These preferences are available only on computers that support Sidecar. Show Sidebar: Show the sidebar on the left or right side of your iPad screen, or turn it off. Show Touch Bar: Show the Touch Bar on the bottom or top of your iPad screen, or turn it off.
