Apple ID server

I've been trying to switch from a iphone 8 to an iphone xR and after syncing all of my data into my computer and then loading it onto my new phone, it asks me to log into my apple id. As I log in, the apple id server says it isnt working and I have tried everything that the internet has told me in order to fix it and now I cant reset the xR because i need my apple id for that too. any suggestions
