Unable to answer my phone, using the swipe action called for

Unable to answer my phone, using the swipe action called for, this doesn't happen all the time, but often enough to be of concern. I thought it had something to do with the pressure I was using on the swipe area of the screen, but I think this maybe something else.

So basically what is happening is that as the phone is ringing letting me know I have a phone call, you are supposed to swipe the screen to answer the call, sometimes this works like it is suppose to, and then there are times when I swipe the screen like I always do, and nothing happens to connect me to my incoming call.

I have a 6s plus Iphone...........................

If I understand your post correctly, the touch screen of your iPhone doesn't always respond when you try to answer a call. I’d like to help.

The answer I was given seemed to fix my problem, but here it is 3 weeks and for the past 2 days my phone rings, but the home screen is displayed, and there is no "answer screen" to accept the call.

I don't know where I am in this process of notifying someone for help, but the response I am replying to didn't help my phone problem. I have been dealing with Apple, and have did a factory reset, and that worked for about 2-3 weeks than the problem started again. I had a new battery put in by an Apple store, but that didn't help either. I think I contacted Apple support last night, which evidently is not the Apple community, like I said earlier I may be dealing with 2 different Apple support "groups", I just don't know. Anyway I was by chat-Apple last night that I should update the IOS on my phone, with the update I had available on the phone to IOS 13.2.3

So my phone is updated, and we will see if there is any change in the touch screen operation.
