How do multiple users use HomePod?

How do multiple users use HomePod? I’ve read that with iOS 13.2, HomePod will support multiple users, recognizing different voices. I assume the distinction here from previous versions, where HomePod would literally respond to any voice, is that it will associate different voices to their respective AppleID accounts and perform actions based on their accounts. Sounds great, but I can’t find any resources to learn how.
