Should the 8plus show the HDR feature on the view screen?
I have an iPhone 8 Plus, I cannot view/use the HDR on the camera, should it have one?

Both the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus feature Auto HDR, meaning that HDR will be automatically enabled when the lightning condition is met.
This is actually an improvement over the 7 and 7 Plus.
If you want to manually enable HDR every time, you can disable Auto HDR in Settings --> Camera.
