imac won't boot
I have an older iMac 21" and it stopped booting for some reason. I keep it up to date with software updates. When booting up it shows the progress screen, which never finishes, then goes to sleep. Any ideas how to recover?

See if it will startup in Safe Mode, as per > Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support
and see if it will startup normally.
If not, follow the instructions at > If your Mac doesn't turn on or start up - Apple Support
Now if your Mac still does not startup, contact your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider
and schedule a service appointment.
