MacBook Air power adaptor

Can my MacBook Air "blow out" my Power adapter? I have two Mac Book Air computers and two adapters. Suddenly

A strange coincidence but sounds more like a power surge might have done it, see if you could borrow one to check if it really is the chargers or could be an electrical issue where you are plugging it in and if you do borrow one plug it in somewhere else.

You can do this first How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support it could correct the issue.
