Does The TimeMachine System Restore Exclude Virus's?

I recently erased my ssd due to malware or a root kit that corrupted the drive. the ssd was repaired and and I would like to restore the entire system from time machine..

does restoring the system from time machine bring the malware back into the mac?

finally if i choose migration instead of full system restore will migration bring the malware or root kit back into the mac?

When you boot into Recovery (⌘-R), and select Restore from Time Machine backup, this will erase the target drive and repave it with everything from the last Time Machine backup. As there are no viruses on the Mac, your principal concern would be bringing back any adware/malware that was previously backed up.

Once you have performed that Restore, I would download and run the free Malwarebytes for Mac which is purpose built to detect and remove adware, malware, and other junk. This Malwarebytes is a 14-day, full-version trial, and during/after the trial, you can run it interactively as needed.
