There is a dialog box that appears asking for permission for a program to insert itself

There is a dialog box that appears, regularly asking for permission for a program "Tituricsec" to insert itself. Of course, I don't click "Allow". I figure it's malware.

I searched for Tituricsec to attempt to delete it.

I can find Tituricsec files in my Library folder - but as soon as I delete them, they come back.

I am not a sophisticated Mac user. How does someone like me rid themselves of this malware? Do I go to the Apple store and ask for help? Hire a consultant/techie-kind of guy? Or take my Mac to a computer repair store? Purchase a virus & malware scrubber? - and if so, which one? There are zillions out there.

This is beyond my ability to handle.

So, now what?

Scan your Mac for Malware:

Use MalwareBytes for Mac --- This is software that searches for malware/adware. So, scan with it and then remove what is found. Once removed, uninstall MalwareBytes for Mac. Then restart the Mac.

@ The Littles I installed Malwarebytes and it did indeed remove the offending Tituricsec malware. Thank you.

Just curious: why do you advise that I now uninstall Malwarebytes? It's not worth keeping around? Maybe even paying for the premium version? Thoughts? Again, thank you.
