Can anyone tell me the most simple and fastest way to change the default photo of the log in screen when you turn on your MacBook?

That is good to know! I wondered how the photo that’s there was chosen and how I’d change it if needed. But I actually meant the background photo. Everything I’ve read on it seems so complicated and odd.
FWIW, I've never bothered changing the login screen for Catalina. I only saw one comment on the page and it said it was too complicated. Are you sure that's the one you looked at?

So I've seen. Wasn't clear considering there are two photos on the login screen. There is the Desktop Picture (proper terminology) and there is the user's identity photo (also correct terminology). A bit confusing in the topic's title context. You got it right, and I got it wrong.
But the user appreciated the information just the same.
I have done multiple searches & they just seem to be a bit all over the place, with frequent feedback saying it didn’t work. So, I figured this may be the place to reach out and see if someone knew of a different way that for sure works.
I believe he means the background picture.
That’s one that I’ve looked at before, it just seems to strange how it’s done plus some comments said it didn’t work, so I wasn’t sure if there was a better way.
It's not that complicated. It's actually as easy as changing the identity photo.

Open Users & Groups preferences. Select the user account from left side list. On the right is your current picture. Click on it to produce a window displaying available pictures or you can take a picture of your face using the computer's camera.
