Older SMS not showing up on new iPhone transfer

Recently upgraded phones to the 11 PRO and I have the text messages from the day I transferred the data and I'm missing a year of texts (from last week to 11/2018)...what's the way to get those back? Reset?

all of my text messages did not get transferred I transferred my text messages over to new iphone but the text messages stop at August...how do I get the phone to send all of the text messages? ty

When I transferred my data from my iPhone 8 Plus to my iPhone 12 Pro, I noticed that I was missing text messages in my new phone that were in my old one. How can I get those texts back? I noticed that some text messages (recent ones) were missing on my new phone, that existed on my old one. Do they take longer to transfer? Has anyone else had that problem?
