Current Issue: When I follow these steps and login to turn off 2 factor authentication, the option to turn off is not available.
Main issue: I tried for an hour to log into my apple tv last night and was in a password and authentication loop. Never able to actually enter the code.

You cannot disable Two-Factor Authentication once it has been enabled.
