All emergency contacts now display as EMERGENCY

I added my wife and son as Emergency Contacts (iOS 13). Now both are simply displayed as EMERGENCY on messages, calls, etc. How do I get their names to show?

I do not want to change the emergency contact. I simply want that person's name to show up in messages, etc. - not just the word EMERGENCY. The basic reason is that I have two emergency contacts, and if their names don't show in daily use, I don't know which I'm communicating with. Pretty simple - you should be able to designate people as emergency contacts without changing their names!

Hi mycre,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand you'd like to edit the emergency contacts on your iPhone, since it's displaying "EMERGENCY." I can help point you in the right direction.

First you'll want to open the Contacts app on your iPhone to verify the contact information for your emergency contacts is up to date. Then, you can edit the emergency contacts on your iPhone by going to Settings > Emergency SOS > tap on, "Edit Emergency Contacts in Health" > select Edit on the upper right corner > remove "Emergency" for one of your contacts and re-add the contact you'd like to add. Additional details of this information is outlined in the section that says, "Change your Emergency SOS settings" in this helpful article: Make emergency calls on iPhone

Kind regards.
