How do I find the DUID and IAID for IPv6?

I am converting our local network to ipv6 and wish to set a static IP address for the mac in the DHCP server. Doing so requires a DUID and IAID.

Any way to get these ID values?

There also appears to be places even the System Administrator cannot go. For instance </var/db/dhcpclient/>.

Hello jimbobrae,

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you have questions about your network configuration and settings. I'd be happy to get you pointed in the right direction for the settings you're looking for.

For those settings, you'll want to get in touch with your network administrator or internet service provider. You can find more information here: Use IPv6 on Mac.

Take care.
