Hello binwellka03,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that you're seeing a message directing you to "Open iTunes U" when trying to access the iTunes Store on your iPhone 6. I would be happy to help explore reasons why you may be seeing this message.

Let's start by confirming that you're in a country or region that supports the iTunes Store, and that your Apple ID reflects the correct location:

  1. Availability of Apple Media Services - Apple Support
  2. Change your Apple ID country or region - Apple Support

If you're not in a location that supports purchasing certain types of media from the iTunes Store or App Store, it can be expected to see available media types through iTunes U instead. If you see iTunes U after confirming you're in a supported location, are you using a Managed Apple ID or do you have a profile installed on your iPhone? If so, this could also be restricting your access to the iTunes Store:

Use a Managed Apple ID with iTunes U - Apple Support

Let us know what you find.

Cheers!
