Should I update my Safari browser????

I've been getting messages that my browser is out of date and may not be secure. It should be updated but to what?

The message says

"Safari 11.1 (Version 11.1.2)

on MacOS 10.11.

It is not supported by the vendor anymore."

The recommended alternatives to Safari are Chrome , Firefox, Opera.

What are the Pros and Cons of these?

Your guidance will be highly appreciated

iMac, OS X 10.11

You need to upgrade your OS to get a newer version of Safari. If you want to continue using Sierra, there shouldn't be a problem using another browser.

If you want to upgrade to get a newer version of Safari, check the computer requirements shown in each link to see if your computer is capable of running that OS version.

Check to make sure your applications are compatible.

Also check to make sure there is a compatible driver for your printer.

Do a backup before installing, preferable 2 backups on 2 different drives.
