unknown contact in autofill text iphone

iphone text app has unknown contacts in autofill options (can view by typing one letter and scrolling down). All of the unknown have same format: Prefix is “Office” followed by date “MMDDYYYY”. Goes back 3 years. About 25 total. I don’t receive spam via text messages. Only business that sends me text is my phone provider (which identifies itself correctly). Why happen? Who is this “officeMMDDYYYY” contact? I do NOT have microsoft365 or similar.

Hello Oranges777,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand there's an unknown contact being displayed when typing in Messages. I'll do what I can to help.

Here are some suggestions:

  • Check for any other accounts that have contacts that could be supplying the information that just isn't displaying. This would be in Settings > Passwords & Accounts.
  • This could be Siri trying to suggest certain contacts. To test this, go to Settings > Contacts > Siri & Search. Turn off "Show Siri Suggestions for Contacts" and "Learn from this App."
  • If you use iCloud for contacts, check the iCloud website to see if these contacts appear: iCloud

Have a great day.
