Automation options greyed out

The automation and edit options are greyed out in the Home app on my Mac.

System details:

macOS 10.15.1

MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017), 500 GB SSD, 16 GB RAM

Home app is connected to a HomePod and an AppleTV (4th generation)

Home app is Version 4.0 (367.2.38)

Things I've tried:

Reinstall of macOS

Setting my account as an administrator

Running First Aid on the disk via Disk Utility

Repair/reset of permissions

I've only seen one other question on this topic, and no resolution there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have any HomeKit accessories, ignoring the HomePod and the Apple TV? Strike that, I don't have any but those menus are active for me. I suspect you'll need to contact Apple Support over this one.
