Mouse pointer causes unwanted zoom when saving files
Randomly but often when I choose (in any application) File >Save (or >Save As) and the save dialog box appears, if I hover my mouse over the folders to drill down to where I want to save the file, the pointer and for around 2" of my monitor's screen gets dramatically zoomed in and I am unable to actually click on the folder I want to......moving the pointer around just seems to 'spread' the problem because the font does NOT return to normal size when I move the pointer away.
This problem prevents me from being able to actually save documents *where* I want to save them as I generally wind up just clicking on "Desktop" to get it saved, then using the Finder to move it to where I want it later, but then if I want to re-open it later in the App it has trouble finding the document so I have to navigate to where it is.......it isn't a 'hard stop' on working, just a total PITA.
I did not have this problem before updating to Mojave and I cannot update to a newer OS at this time due to several application that I use daily that are not compatible (yet) with newer OS versions. I would not have even updated to Mojave had I not been forced to do so as part of the battery replacement on the MBP 15" battery recall.
Has anyone else encountered this odd bug and fixed it? I've been all the way through all of the Accessibility settings and have them ALL turned off except for the spring-loading setting that allows me to drag and drop email in Mail to sub-folders without having to open all the folders first.....no other Accessibility settings (such as Zoom) are even enabled.......I'm at a loss.
