Static noise with wired headphones: (XR)

My iPhone XR has been producing a fuzzy static noise in my ears when i use wired headphones with a lightning to aux dongle. The noise is very annoying, and becomes louder and more when i play audio on the phone. This issue does not occur with wireless headphones but occurs with all of my pairs of wired headphones and did not go away no matter which of my dongles i used. How can i fix this issue so i don't have to put my hundreds of dollars of wired headphones to waste?
