I am a senior citizen and have a very old apple iPad that suits me fine for what I want to do Watch YouTube and check emails; banking. I can no longer get YouTube playing, for about a month now, and can't figure out what to do Any help please?

What is your iPad’s model number and what version of the system software is it running?

Can you go to the Settings app, General > About and verify your iPad model number and what iOS version your iPad is running?
A 5th gen iPad in ONLY about 2-1/2 years old, not very old iPad, at all.
Have you tried a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons?
