Every time I open the home app, it asks me to set up my voice. Even leaving the app for a few seconds and returning causes the app to ask me to say the five Hey Siri phrases again. I’ve tried resetting Home Pod and deleting the app with no luck. I have the current iOS installed on both the iPhone and the Home Pod. The repeated prompting for the Hey Siri phrases is driving me nuts. Any suggestions?
Is Siri voice recognition set up on your iPhone? Either way it might be worth (re)setting up on the phone. I haven't had to say any Hey Siri phrases to the HomePod for it to recognize my voice, presumably as it has picked up the voice I set up on my phone.

Indeed it is. But I turned it off and set it up again anyway. No luck. The alert to set up my voice in the Home app is persistent and remains even if I leave the app open. And the Home Pos doesn’t know who I am, even though the contact for “Me” is identified. in my contacts.
