How to Sync iPad Pro (iOS 13.2.2) to MacBook Pro (OS 10.15.1)

When I hooked up my iPad, at the Finder, I can only see option to sync contents (from MacBook Pro) to iPad Pro. I got contents which I need to sync reversely (iPad to MacBook). How can this be done? Does the sync in the MacBook combine the contents of 2 devices with different AppleIDs as I have 2 different IDs on each devices (iPhone iOS 13.2.2).

iPad Pro, iOS 13

After the separation of functions in iTunes, I'm not sure you can sync the documents from the iPhone back to the Mac. However, I'm a very new user of the Mac computer, and I still have everything synced to my Windows computer. I do know that most everything you do when it comes to a sync is to sync from the computer to the phone, and not back, especially since you are referring to files here. You may also wish to post this in a Mac forum and may get someone more familiar with the Mac that could answer that question.
