camera not working on MacBook pro

I am trying to connect to FaceTime - but getting error - "No Camera Available - To use FaceTime , Connect a camera" . I have tried several troubleshooting steps like "killall processes that use camera -VDC,AppleCamera etc" but nothing seems to work. Rebooted my laptop several times , but no luck.

Please suggest any other troubleshooting steps for me to resolve the issue.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks Guys

Hey hunny290,

I understand you're having trouble with FaceTime on your MacBook Pro, because of the error message that the camera isn't available. I'll be happy to help out.

I recommend resetting the SMC and NVRAM. Here's how to do both:

How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac

If that doesn't resolve it, try starting in safe mode to see if you get the same error. This can help tell us if the issue is possible login items: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support. After you've tested, restart the Mac normally and then try again.

Keep us updated. Cheers!
