Midsommar- Director's Cut

Last night I purchased Midsommar on Apple TV +. It was purchased via amazon fire tv. I do not have an apple tv; rather, I have the Apple TV app loaded on my amazon fire.

As you may know, Apple TV has an exclusive on Midsommar, The Director's Cut. If you purchase (not rent) Midsommar on Apple TV, you get the theatrical version as well as the Director's Cut. I purchased it specifically to see the director's cut.

Anyway, when I bring up the movie, there is no option to watch the director's cut. There is no menu and no way to bring up that version of the movie. All I received was the theatrical version, which is all well and good, but that's not what I wanted to watch. This is very strange, because I did everything I was supposed to do to get the director's cut of this movie (purchased the regular version, which should get you the director's cut and other extras; it even said there are extras when I purchased the move through my Iphone).

I was on the phone with Apple support for two frustrating hours last night trying to figure out why I did not get the director's cut or any options to even bring it up within the regular version, and the end result is that the Apple support person with whom I spoke had no explanation and could not help me.

I am annoyed by this, because the Midsommar Director's Cut is an Apple TV exclusive, not available anywhere else, and I purchased the regular version (Midsommar) expecting to get the extras, and it didn't even show up as an option anywhere once I purchased it.

Anyone else encounter this?
