My 15" MacBook Pro is making static noises. What do I do? This issue is intermittent. I usually leave my Mac turned on but close the top in evenings. Could that be the issue? The Mac is not warm to the touch.

It is hard to say anything constructive here— you give no information on what exact Mac, or corroborating information.
You can always take it in and have it looked at.
