Unable to add Apple Card to MacBook Pro wallet

Thank you for a quick response. Followed those steps before calling support.

Walked through them again with support on the phone. Also pointed out to them that step 4, "Select Apple Card, then choose Next and follow the steps on your screen." is inaccurate in my case.

After clicking the plus button in step 3, I am presented with the screen below:

I hit "Add a Different Credit or Debit Card" and enter in the Apple Card information manually. After putting the information in manually, I get the error in the original post.

I do have 2 factor authentication enabled on my iCloud account. Thank you for the suggestion. The point is moot now as I have upgraded to Catalina to see if that made a difference and it did. The Apple Card is in the wallet on the MacBook Pro. I am not sure what was missing with Mojave but whatever it was has been fixed.

Following the path you suggested does not yield the information. I do not have "Apple ID" as an icon under System Preferences.

However, System Preferences > iCloud > Account Details > Payment does show the Apple Card as the Primary Payment Method. When I click the details button for the Apple Card it does show my correct name and billing address.

Despite it saying Apple Card I could not complete a purchase last night on the MBP because I could not select Apple Card at checkout. I could select any other card in the MBP's wallet. I had to complete my purchase on the iPhone to actually use the Apple Card.

Thank you for the suggestion. I signed out of my Apple ID and also restarted the computer for good measure. Unfortunately, it did not work. I was able to add the other 3 cards without an issue but still could not add the Apple Card to the MBP wallet.

Ran First aid on Machintosh HD, the container disk and the device itself. Still have the same problem. Did not run first aid on Macintosh HD - Data because that exists in Catalina and I am running Mojave (10.14.6). Tried Catalina but reverted back. I am waiting for a few Catalina updates before I switch for good. Thank you.

Turned it off. Tried to add the card but it did not work. Turned touch ID back on but still could not add the Apple Card. All other cards work just fine.
