How do I add Apple Card to my wallet on Mac

got an Apple Card last week. trying to add it to my 2018 MacBook Pro with Touch ID.

I have tried the suggested method from apples website, however when I click "add card", there is no option to add my Apple Card. Webcam opens up and there's a message saying "Position your card in the frame", and under it there is an option to enter details manually.

big issue here is I do not have an iPhone or iPad. So no other way to log in and get card numbers. Is there a workaround? it seems like the latest updates may have removed the "add Apple Card" option. And apple, for some reason, is making this whole Apple Card experience difficult.

I have called customer support and they have transferred me to every possible department. Nobody is able to help.
