I can't get my Epson WorkForce WF-7720 to connect to my MacBook Pro (2019) wirelessly

I have tried everything using the pdf guide book. When I arrive at a page to add my printer nothing comes up even after waiting for five minutes. I have no problem adding the printer to my ASUS Windows laptop running the latest version of Windows 10 over my wireless connection.

I know it must be me the operator but am at a loss how to correct for this to get my printer to recognize the MacBook Pro using a wireless connection.

iPad Pro, iOS 13

Hello ojossogood,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. It appears there's an issue adding a printer to your Mac. I'll do what I can to help.

Here are some suggestions:

  • These general steps about adding a wireless printer might help: Add a printer on Mac
  • If possible, make sure the latest printer drivers are available from the company website: Epson

Thanks and have a great day.

Hello Mr. Moon. I tried everything but it still did not work. I even re-installed Catalina.. I am a novice with Apple computers even though I have been using Apple products for 15 years. I have a 15 inch MacBook Pro (2019) and it has not been able to print using Wi-Fi. I am not able to add the printer at all in the systems preferences printers & scanners section My previous MacBook Pro (2013) worked with this printer. My Apple iMac 5K works with this printer over Wi-Fi. Everything works with this printer over Wi-Fi except this new MacBook Pro.

My iPad mini and iPad Pro work with this printer. My ASUS Laptop works with this printer. I am able to print and scan with my computers and even my iPhone11Pro Max works with this printer over Wi-Fi. I read the instructions and performed them to the best of my ability. When it would come to the point that I was adding the printer software to the computer I would wait for about two minutes and then Epson would show up but only for the FAX which I don't need and have never had a fax. Whether I was using AirPrint or the IPP protocol it would only show on the AirPrint section. When I would touch the "next" button it would come back with an error.

I love my new MacBook Pro as it is the Core i9 chip with eight cores. It seems faster than my 2013 MacBook Pro. I am happy with the MacBook Pro in every respect so I will live with this small problem.

I thank you very much for your help and wish you good health in your life. Thanks again. Eyes so good (ojossogood)
