iPhone 11 Pro: issues with "sticky" screen/glass

Hi there,

I bought a brand new iPhone 11 Pro a few weeks ago as I was super excited about the new camera (upgraded from an iPhone X). However, I quickly noticed that the screen/glass felt very different from my old phone, and also from my girlfriends iPhone XR.

It's a little hard to explain but basically the glass doesn't have a very good glide and feels sticky to the touch. This is super irritating, especially when scrolling or playing games. I first thought this was down to warm and humid climate, but it's the same in an air conditioned room. I've wiped the screen off with water and my hands aren't sticky at all. There are no scratches or damages to the screen. It's brand new!

Again, did not have this problem with my iPhone X and there's a huge difference between my iPhone 11 Pro and my girlfriends iPhone XR. Really disappointed with my phone so far, especially considering the price.

Any ideas? Really dreading having to go into an Apple Store to get it looked at.

Hello,

If you've already tried cleaning it as follows:

"To clean your iPhone's screen, never use any type of cleaning solvent such as Windex or other chemical agents. Use only water. Use water and a lint free, scratch resistant cloth (microfiber preferred) to cleanyour iPhone screen by dampening the cloth slightly and clean the screen using soft, even strokes."

and it doesn't help, you'll have to have it checked: Find Locations

Good luck.
