Locking Find my friends app...

Is there a way to lock the app so nobody else can be added? We have my father-in-laws new girlfriend constantly tracking him even after we remove her from the list. She just won't stop adding herself back. Thanks in advance...

Apple doesn't have a facility to lock a specific app. Sorry, but this is not something anyone here can solve for your father. He needs to deal with this by either making it not possible to use his phone by using a simple Passcode or he needs to tell her he doesn't appreciate her adding herself to Find my Friends. This is between him and her.

Thanks for your reply. She is simply adding herself to his phone and he doesn't want to put a password on the phone. It is a lot like being a parent to somewhat defiant children. I just wanted to know if anyone knew of a way to block her continuing attempts to track him.

Unless he has been deemed incompetent, it's up to him to manage his own love life.

Blocking through the app is not considered necessary since almost all users will have a passcode on their phone so nobody can do things they do not want them to do. It's like many houses do not have individual door locks since anybody who has a key to the front door can presumably be trusted once inside.

I haven't used Screen Time and I don't know if it will do what you want.

He is accepting her friend requests, somehow. Perhaps you should have him read this:

Set up and use Find My Friends - Apple Support

If he has iOS 13, see this article:

Find friends and share your location with Find My - Apple Support

If she is adding herself by getting access to his phone, tell him to put a passcode on it.

Beyond a certain point, however, there's not a lot you can do. These are adults who need to sort out their own relationship issues.
