This is where you should have gotten it: https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/

If you got it from a site not called google.com MacOS might be stopping you from opening it because it could be malicious. If you downloaded it from google.com all you have to do is install it and click yes when asked if you want to run it.

It might confusing because when you first launch chrome by clicking the icon, it will try to tell you a lot of stuff and get you to sign up for things and basically give you the run around about using google, google, google. Just ignore all of that for now and type the site you are trying to visit into the URL/Search Bar at the top. Or you can copy the website address you see at the top of Safari and paste it into the one at the top of Chrome. You will need to put in your password again, if you are visiting a passworded site.

Using Safari, you’ll need to search download chrome you will found multiple search result and the start. Click into the official google link to download chrome after following the prompts to download chrome it will show up on your desktop as an application like Safari. You won’t lose you safari application. If it’s for iPhone simple go to the app store and search chrome and Download.
