Wi-Fi/Internet problems when running Windows 10 on Bootcamp version 6.0
Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my Wifi/internet access when I am running Windows 10.
My computer is a 13 inches 2015 MacBook Pro running Mac Os Catalina with Windows 10 installed using bootcamp.
My wifi and Internet access are working perfectly fine when the computer is running Mac Os Catalina (thus I am 100% sure that the problem is not related to my wifi network nor to my computer).
However, when I boot the computer under Windows 10 using bootcamp I am able to connect to the Internet using Wifi for about 5 minutes (at best!) and then the Internet simply stops working even though the control center indicates that I am still technically ‘connected’ to the Internet!
I can either connect to a 5 GHz or 2,4 GHz Wifi and I tried to connect to either of the two but I get the same result everytime: no internet access!
I installed all the Bootcamp drivers (the bootcamp version I am running is version 6.0) provided by the Bootcamp Assistant.
My WiFi card under Windows 10 is a Broadcom 802.11ac Network Adapter. When I check the drivers that available on the computer I have two options: either one which is supplied by Broadcom (Version is 7.77.110.0) and one that is supplied by Microsoft (Version 10.0.18362.1).
The Version of Windows 10 that is running on my system is Version 1909 (64 bits, KB4524570).
I tried to search the Internet to find a solution to this problem and it seems that it could potentially be a driver issue and that ‘rolling back’ to an older version of the drivers for the Broadcom card could eventually solve the problem.
I saw a post where someone mentioned that using the Broadcom driver version 7.35.118.83 solved the problem in his case but I was unable to find a website to download this version of the driver…Also, I am
not sure about the procedure to follow in order to properly ‘roll back’ to an older version of the driver…
Has anyone experienced similar problems on their Windows 10 partition when using bootcamp?
If the problem is not drivers-related, does anyone have any suggestions of where it might come from (can it be a conflict with the Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter maybe? Can it be a conflict between the MAC address of the computer that is already being used by the Mac OS partition of the computer?)
I tried to reset the network parameters in the control center but the problem keeps occurring.
I have spent a lot of time trying to find a solution to this very irritating problem but without success unfortunately!
Thank you in advance for your help!!
Kind regards.
