Hello All,
I recently upgraded to new IPhone 11. I want to still receive text messages on my old Iphone 10, which no longer has a SIM but still connects to wifi, as well as the new one.
How do I get this to happen?

I am not sure you can do it. I have been trying to activate iMessages on my iPhone SE iOS 12.4 with no cell service but from what I can tell from the documentation this is required on an iPhone. I can get Facetime to work on a cellular iPad with no service but not on an iPhone.

"If you're using an iPhone, you need SMS messaging to activate your phone number with iMessage and FaceTime."
You should still be able to send/receive iMessages, but not SMS/MMS text messages, which rely on having cellular voice service on the older phone. Without a SIM card, you don't have that service.
Thank you for the quick response. The strange thing is, the old IPhone updates the messages at the end of every day but not instantly. Can this be changed?
Maybe because you had activated things once the phone remained blessed for messages?

Yes it is always connected to wifi.
Sorry, run out of ideas. Since I can't get Messages to work at all... :-/
