New MacBook Pro randomly shutting down.

Just bought a MacBook Pro 2019 edition which has arrived today and has been running fine until it randomly shut down out of nowhere with it being on around 70% battery. This issue has continued to happen around 7/8 times since intermittently and can only be turned back on by plugging the charger in. Have looked around online and seen similar issues being fixed by rebooting the SMC, tried this and it still hasn’t fixed the problem. Trying to see if updating it to the current software will make a difference or solve the issue. Does anyone have any ideas of what the problem could be and how I can fix this properly?

Make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar for service. If you need to find an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple. Also, see How to find your nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) or Distributor (AAD).
