How do you save someone’s Memoji pic for their contact photo

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I understand you want to save a Memoji as a contact picture. I am happy to provide some information.

You can certainly edit a Contact photo if you'd like. You can see how to do that here: Edit contact on iPhone

To have the photo be the Contacts Memoji, they can share their photo and contact information with you. To see how to go about that visit: Use Messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Another option would be if the Contact has sent a Memoji to you in conversation, you can screenshot that Memoji, crop the photo to just the Memoji and set that as your Contacts picture as well.
