cannot find call blocking on settings iphone x

I am trying to set up the call blocking feature on my phone with a call blocking app. When I go to General then Phone to enable call blocking and identication, the call blocking and identification button is not there. I have the iPhone X, its up to date, I have hard reset it.

It has a line that says, Respond with text, then the next on one Silence Unknown, the Blocked contacts. I cannot get the enable call blocking and identification to show up.

Hey there, asdfaskldnfa!

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. I see from your post that you'd like to block calls on your iPhone but do not see the Call Blocking & Identification under Settings > Phone. I'm happy to help!

In order to access the Call Blocking & Identification options, you first need to have a call blocking app installed on your iPhone. Once you've done that, you will be able to access the options in Settings. Check out the below information from Detect and block spam phone calls - Apple Support:

"Set up an app to filter and detect spam calls

  1. Go to the App Store and download an app that detects and blocks spam phone calls. You can download and install multiple apps with this feature from different app developers.
  2. Go to Settings > Phone.
  3. Tap Call Blocking & Identification.
  4. Under Allow These Apps To Block Calls And Provide Caller ID, turn the app on or off. You can also reorder the apps based on priority. Just tap Edit and then drag the apps in the order you want them.

Phone numbers that appear under Blocked Contacts are numbers that you manually block."

I would also recommend checking out the rest of the information in that article for additional options in managing your incoming calls.

Have a wonderful weekend!
