I am trying to restore my iphone 6s settings to a ipad 4th generation with the latest ios 10.3.4. I am using itunes to do the restore. I have googled and am under the impression it can be done...BUT... when I go through the motion I get an error
anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong.
I have lots of games on the phone I would like to transfer to the ipad and not have to start from the beginning again.

It looks as if you purchased on over 7-year old iPad 4th generation.
A 4th gen iPad cannot go beyond iOS 10.3.3/10.3.4
Its internal hardware is too old, underpowered and totally incompatible with any current or future iOS versions.
To get iPadOS 13 on an iPad, you would need to purchase an older iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 4 or an older iPad Pro model.
Basically, any older iPad that was actually made 4-5 years, ago or even newer, like a 2017/2018 5th or 6th gen, 9.7 inch screen iPad.
If the game is the same and compatible with your model iPad, I am at a loss as to why it will not pick up your progress from your iPhone?
Are you logged into the same Game Center account on both devices?
What happens if you sync up both devices through your Apple iCloud account/ID, as well?
Thanks it seems I wasted $200AUD buying an older iPad to use for games. As mentioned everything I Googled told me it could be done. Phone has iso 13.1.3 iPad has ios 10.3.4. What a wast of time and money. I am really starting to get annoyied with Apple.

Thanks for that I know its old but all I could afford and all I am trying to do is copy my games over so I don't have to start from the beginning again. As mentioned everything I have Googled says I can do it this way only they did not say anything about ios.
So I have a game on my iphone 6s that I have played for a about a year now and have gotten to a very high level and would like to transfer the game and all the info across so I do not have to start again.
I have tried some programs that are desinged to look at the iphone's files ect but cannot find the game or any stats/info in the phones files.
It is Solitaire by MobilityWare free downloaded through App Store on the iphone I just would like to copy all the game info pertaining to the game to the iPad then I don't care if the iPad is slow ios out of date it just means I can play the game.
Anyone have an idea how I can do that?
According to the app, Solitaire by MobilityWare IS iOS 10 compatible.
Have you tried downloading it and log into the game, if it uses your Apple ID user account or other user account ID or uses Apple Game Center Apple ID in the Settings app?
Those would be your only options.
Yes I have downloaded the game to the iPad logged on using my Apple ID and Apple Game Center but still did not update and on the iPad the game started from the beginning.
So I guess I am stuck with the old tech and put it down to a learning experience.
